The Menti project was founded in Gambellara, Italy, by Giovanni Menti in the late 19th century. It is a family project that has passed down through several generations until reaching Stefano Menti, who from an early age showed an interest in biodynamic agriculture. 

Genúria was born in late 2021 by the hands of João Jacinto and Mariana Antunes, the young couple who gave life to this project on family land in the small village of Montengrão.

What are orange wines? The term “orange wine” can be somewhat misleading, although it is practical and easy to understand. The name comes from the orange hue, often closer to amber, that some skin-contact wines display. This is why they are sometimes also called amber wines. In reality, what defines an orange wine is not its colour but the way it is made.
